Pets In Vegas? Synthetic Turf Is Perfect.

In Las Vegas we put a lot of time and effort into creating a perfect outdoor space on our property that will reflect our lifestyle.  For each person this is going to mean something different.  Some people are going to simply create the most maintenance free yard they can because they do not spend a lot of time in it, and others are going to try and create an oasis for them to enjoy on our warm summer nights.  No matter how you approach it or what you are trying to accomplish with your space, the one reality is that our summers get hot and our water is in limited supply, so youa re probably not going to be able to water enough to keep water loving plants healthy.  Grass is one of the most water loving plants there is, and as a result it is a bad choice for Las Vegas landscapes, no matter what you are trying to accomplish.  Even though a lush and thick carpet of grass would be perfect for families and pets to play in, growing that grass under these conditions is quite difficult and most will eventually see their grass dry up and die.

Artificial turf is an alternative that can give you the look and the feel of real grass without the water or the necessity of continual mowing.  The improvements to the product that have happened over the years have created a near duplicate of real grass, one that is almost impossible to distinguish from the real thing.  Improvements to the installation techniques by adding underfilling material and also weed barriers have created the spongy feel of real grass, and the addition of sand-like components to the top of the grass will give the synthetic blades a more upright stance, further simulating the real thing.  If properly staked down, artificial turf is quite stable and makes for a perfect area for children to play and run.  One concern that many people considering artificial turf in Las Vegas have however is pet urine.  If you have pets they are going to naturally be attracted to the synthetic turf, and are going to urinate on it.  Many people believe this will pool on the turf and eventually cause staining or odor, which tends to make them potentially rethink the installation.  These concerns are unfounded however, as modern artificial turf with an underfill allows for drainage in the same way that real grass does.  The addition of a specialized product that we add to our installations upon request will also nearly complete the potential for a urine smell to build up due to the fact that it uses naturally occurring enzymes to counteract the ammonia in urine, basically eliminating the smell even if it is allowed to dry in the summer heat without being hosed off.  Upon the simple application of water from a hose, the crystals are restored and continue to eliminate odor smells.  Artificial turf is perfect for pets in Las Vegas, so what is stopping your installation?
