It provides all of the same benefits of a soft and good booking surface without the ongoing maintenance that is necessary in order to keep grass looking good. It also does not need the continual watering that would be necessary in order for grass to remain green, and to a generation that is far more conscious with regards to conservation of our natural resources, wasting water does not seem like something that they would like to participate in.
